Who I Am

Building Better Goals, One Workshop at a Time

I’ve spent the last 12 years helping people turn their dreams into real plans. That’s not as simple as it sounds — most people have goals, but they’re vague, scattered, or missing the structure that actually makes them happen. I’ve seen this pattern repeat itself across Singapore’s community clubs, corporate teams, and personal development programs.

My work focuses on one core belief: structured goal planning changes lives. It’s not magic. It’s not motivational fluff. It’s a practical framework that combines cognitive behavioral techniques with the kind of community values Singapore gets right. I’ve designed and delivered over 180 workshops to more than 4,500 participants, and I’ve trained 30+ volunteer facilitators to teach these methods across 15 PA clubs islandwide.

I hold a Master’s degree in Adult Education from the National Institute of Education at Nanyang Technological University, completed in 2015. That’s where I learned how to make learning stick — not just for a day, but for months and years after a workshop ends. Everything I teach comes from that foundation combined with thousands of hours working directly with people who wanted to get better at their lives.

My Background

Experience That Shaped My Approach

01

Community Outreach Officer

2012–2014 | People’s Association

Started as a community outreach officer with the PA, where I first noticed how many participants struggled to translate aspirations into actionable steps. This gap inspired my decision to pursue formal training in adult learning methodologies.

02

Master’s in Adult Education

2013–2015 | National Institute of Education, NTU

Completed my Master’s degree focusing on cognitive behavioral learning techniques and community-based education. This formal training gave me the tools to design workshops that actually work — combining international best practices with Singapore’s unique multicultural context.

03

Workshop Facilitator & Content Developer

2015–Present | Aspire Goals Pte Ltd

Designed and delivered 180+ goal-setting workshops across PA community clubs, reaching 4,500+ participants. Led content development for all educational materials, trained 30+ volunteer facilitators, and ensured programs reflect both evidence-based practices and Singapore’s community values.

What I Teach

Four Core Areas of Expertise

Every workshop I design builds on years of testing what actually works with real people across Singapore.

SMART Goals Framework

I’ve adapted the SMART methodology specifically for Singapore’s community context. Instead of generic goal-setting, we work through real examples — whether it’s career progression, health improvements, or personal projects. Participants leave with a written plan they can actually follow.

Vision Board Workshops

Vision boards aren’t just creative exercises — they’re cognitive tools that anchor your goals in your brain. I’ve designed these workshops to help participants clarify what they actually want, not what they think they should want. The boards become visual reminders that sit on desks and walls throughout Singapore.

Accountability Habit Building

Goals fail without accountability. I teach structured systems for building accountability habits — whether through buddy partnerships, regular check-ins, or community group support. These aren’t punishment-based systems. They’re designed to keep you on track through social motivation.

Personal Development Retreats

Multi-day retreats through PA community clubs create immersive learning environments. These aren’t retreats from work — they’re retreats for work on yourself. We combine intensive goal planning with reflection, community building, and practical skill development over 2-3 days.

My Philosophy

How I Work With People

Evidence-Based, Not Hype

Everything I teach is rooted in adult learning theory and behavioral psychology. I’m not here to pump you up with motivational quotes. I’m here to give you frameworks that work because they’re built on how people actually learn and change. The SMART goals methodology, cognitive behavioral techniques, accountability systems — all of it comes from research and real-world testing with thousands of participants.

I’ve trained volunteer facilitators who now run workshops across 15 PA clubs. That wouldn’t be possible if my methods didn’t work. These aren’t my ideas — they’re tested approaches adapted for Singapore’s community context.

Culturally Grounded

Singapore’s multicultural society is a strength, not a challenge. I design workshops that respect different values, family structures, and cultural contexts while teaching the same core principles. Goals look different across communities, and that’s exactly how my programs are built.

Whether you’re a student figuring out your career path, a parent balancing multiple responsibilities, or a mid-career professional seeking growth, the framework stays the same. But the examples, the language, and the approach reflect who you actually are.
